In the musical 2000s, fashion designers said that "by now there was everything", disco songs reigned in the music of the 70s, a decade later the music of the 80s was already overflowing with new genres such as New Wave music and Italo Disco. The hits of the 90s were mainly music from the borderline of Pop songs and electronic music. And so, since there had been everything before, in the late 90s and early 2000s artists began to combine styles. The same phenomenon could be observed in music after 2000. The first decade of the 21st century is a period of great popularity of electronic music with all its factions and techno at the forefront. All musical genres are developing, and it is hard to talk about the dominance of one of them. We are still dealing with the phenomenon of the previous decade, namely the commercialization of music. A new phenomenon, on the other hand, are television programs aimed at promoting new stars. In recent years, television has been flooding us with such programs, not only in Poland, but especially around the world. Sometimes they succeed, sometimes they don't and the audience chooses a star of one season, but there have been so many of them in the last decade that we practically don't pay attention to it anymore.
What was being listened to in the 2000s? Television music stations such as VIVA and MTV mainly promoted hits from the pop, rock and alternative and electronic music genres. In the latter category, it is worth mentioning, for example, artists such as ATB, Tiesto, Daft Punk, The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy or Röyksopp. On the other hand, when mentioning pop music from the 2000s, it is worth mentioning such performers as Beyonce, Britney Spears, Dido, Bryan Adams, Jennifer Lopez or Justina Timberlake, which was loved by all teenagers in those years. Fans of rock and alternative music will certainly remember the hits of such performers as Coldpay, Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit or Bon Jovi.
In general, everyone found something for themselves and today it is hard for me to judge the greatest hits of that period, in our collection you will find hundreds of music videos from that period. So I think that everyone will find something for themselves here.
