Disco music took over almost the entire world. Thanks to this music, electronic music in general became very popular. Some elements of the disco style were adapted by groups outside this circle, such as. ABBA, The Rubettes and others. Even such rock artists as The Rolling Stones, Kiss and Rod Stewart recorded songs and albums in this style.
This is also a time of continuous thriving rock, which has not lost its popularity since the 1950s. The mainstream music of the 1970s was a continuation of the music created by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. At the same time heavy metal was very popular, groups such as Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Twisted Sister, AC/DC guaranteed the success of heavy metal music. The musical 1970s also saw the beginnings of hip-hop music and this popularity has not waned to this day.
