I am looking for a song entitled. "MONIKA"

The song : "MONIKA" was quite popular in the early 1970s , the original performance was in German , but I remember more the version in French , performed by probably a Bulgarian male performer ( I do not know his name , but I remembered the info from a friend , who once had on a "sound postcard" this version of the song.
If it would be possible , I would ask for some closer data about this song, or where I could find or at least listen to it again - it is a sentiment from the years of my youth. I am now 69 years old.
The song was about a girl named MONIKA , whom a boy dreamed of, wanting to meet her every day etc.... ( unfortunately I didn't know French) ..... as far as the style is concerned , at that time pop was dominant. So much that I remember so through the fog, but sometimes when I remember a part of the chorus, I hum to myself under my breath. Greetings heartily.
