Music video description
"Dreadlock Holiday" is a reggae song from the repertoire of the band 10cc, which became the lead single from the 1978 studio album "Bloody Tourists," and was written by Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman. The song recounts the true events that Stewart and Moody Blues band singer Justin Hayward experienced in Barbados. It very quickly became an international hit and topped the UK charts. The song debuted at number 44 on the Billboard Hot 100, but it did not gain dizzying popularity there, as some radio stations were reluctant to play reggae songs.
The video for the song "Dreadlock Holiday" was directed by Strom Thorgerson. The beach scene was shot on the Dorset coast near Charmouth. The Jurassic Coast hill can also be seen for a few seconds in the clip.
