Music video description

"Money, Money, Money" is a song from the repertoire of Swedish pop group ABBA, which was released as a single on November 1, 1976. It was a sort of sequel to the song Dancing Queen, which also came from the group's studio album titled "Arrival." Its authors were Benny Anderson and Bjorn Ulvaeus. The B-side of the single, meanwhile, featured the song "Crazy World".

"Money, Money, Money" was originally titled "Gypsy Girl." The song is sung from the perspective of a woman who does hard work and yet has trouble making a living. The solution seems to be to find a wealthy man with whom she can intertwine her life. The song appears in the 1977 film "ABBA: The Movie" and in the popular musical Mamma Mia!, where it is performed by Meryl Streep as Donna.

The song "Money, Money, Money" became an international hit and reached the top of many charts. The music video for the song was inspired by the film Cabaret, in which Frida appears in a 1920s hat. Lasse Hallstorm, who considers the video to be the best in his artistic career, is responsible for the direction. The alternative clip was featured on the ABBA-DABBA-DOO TV show, and Agatha and Frida appear in it with feathers in their hair, wearing 1930s dresses.
