Music video description
AC/DC is an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1973 by two brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. The group mainly plays hard rock and so-called blues rock music although they say of themselves that they are "a band that plays rock and roll, nothing more, nothing less." In today's update, I'd like to remind you of one of this band's more recognizable hits, "Back in Black." We all probably associate the famous opening guitar riff, which will be permanently associated with the band AC/DC. The song itself was written as a tribute to the band's former lead singer Bona Scott. The single came from their album of the same name and was released in December 1980. In turn, it climbed the ladders of the world charts in early 1981. Over the course of nearly 40 years, the song has won many awards and accolades. As an interesting fact, it is worth mentioning that this song was the cause of a small dispute between the musicians of the Beastie Boys band. Well, the latter used samples of this song by AC/DC in their song entitled "Rock Hard" and did so without the consent of the Australian band. Fifteen years later, i.e. in 1994, the members of the Beastie Boys asked permission to put the song on a compilation they were just releasing. However, the Young brothers' band refused permission because, as they themselves put it, "they have nothing against the Beastie Boys themselves, but they are not in favor of sampling songs." However, I don't know how this relates to the fact that the samples and motifs used in the song AC/DC - Back in Black were used by many artists, such as Eminem with his great hit "My Name Is" from 1999.
