"Dancing with the Shablas" is the final dance from the 1942 ballet "Gajane" by Armenian composer Aram Ilyich Khachaturian. This dance is very lively and very distinctive. It has a guaranteed place in concert practice, as well as in various adaptations in popular music. For just a few examples, consider the film Gohst Town, in which this motif was used; it is also the anthem of the Buffalo Sabres field hockey team.
