Music video description
The song "You Win Again" was written by Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb and was included in the Bee Gees' repertoire. The song was released as a single in late 1987, with which it launched the group's return to the world charts. The song became number one in many European countries. It also topped the UK singles chart, after more than eight years of absence from the charts. The Bee Gees thus became the only band to reach the top of the UK charts in each of three consecutive decades, namely the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.
The Gibb brothers, or the composers of the song "You Win Again," received the British Academy's Ivory Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrics in 1987. A year later, the men of the Bee Gees were nominated for a Brit Award in the category of best British group. The song was released on cassette and on vinyl. CDs were not yet common in the 1980s. It is also worth mentioning that the hit song "You Win Again" appeared as a bonus track on the American version of the album "One," replacing the song "Wing and a Prayer."
