Music video description
Billy Idol is an English musician, singer, songwriter and actor who was born in 1955 on from the United Kingdom. He began his musical career in 1976 as one of the members of the band Chelsea, but he did not stay there very long and left the band. Tony James left the band with him and together they decided to form their own band, which they called Generation X. They released 3 albums together and were quite successful in the British Isles. In 1981, Billy Idol decided to leave the band as well and moved to New York where he began a solo career. In today's post I would like to invite you to one of his biggest hits and that is the music video Billy Idol - Eyes Without A Face. The song comes from the album Rebel Yell, released in 1983, and was the second single promoting the album. As an interesting fact, it is worth mentioning that immediately after filming this video (the recording took three days) Billy Idol went to Arizona for a concert where he noticed that his contact lenses stuck to his eyeballs. He had to go to the hospital where he had these glasses removed, all ended well and the cornea grew back however he had to have his eyes bandaged for three days. I invite you to watch the video Eyes Without A Face.
