Music video description
Bob Seger or Robert Clark Seger was born in 1945. He is an American musician, guitarist, pianist and songwriter with 18 studio albums to his credit. He was in touch with music since childhood, due to the fact that his father played many instruments. In 1978 he recorded the song "Old Time Rock and Roll," which he later included on the album "Stranger in Town." A year later, the song came out as a single to promote that album. The song itself was written by George Jackson and Thomas E. Jones III, while Bob Seger recorded it for his album. The song went by without much fanfare in those years and did not gain any particularly great popularity. A much bigger boom for the song came in the 1980s. In 1983, this was due to the very popular movie "Risky Business" starring Tom Cruise as Joel Goodson. The song appears in a scene in which Joel is left alone in a house and starts dancing in his underwear and pretending to sing this very song. A year later in 1984, the song Old Time Rock and Roll is again on the screens this time on home TV sets. This happened thanks to the TV series ALF, where in one of the episodes the titular space hero is left alone at home and, just like the year before, Tom Cruise dances and pretends to sing to the aforementioned hit. You can see both scenes in a music video for the song made by a fan. It's not an original music video, but seeing the two scenes brought back a lot of fond memories, and I hope you'll enjoy it as well. In addition, you will also see in it model Heidi Klum in a commercial for the Guitar Hero game. I invite you to enjoy the song Bob Seger - Old Time Rock and Roll.
