"To Know Him Is To Love Him" is a song written by Phil Spector, and was inspired by the words engraved on his father's tombstone. The first performer of the song was Teddy Bears, his recording became number one on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in 1958. The song was performed by The Beatles, Marc Bolan and Gloria Jones, Gary Glitter, Peter and Gordon, and Bobby Vinton performed a version with the changed title "To Know You Is Love You" in 1969.
