Music video description
"Sunny" is a song originally written by Bobby Hebb in 1963, which has lived to see hundreds of different versions recorded by various artists. BMI ranks the song as the 25th best 100 songs of the century. European music fans are particularly familiar with the song thanks to the disco group Boney M's version, which recorded the song for its 1976 debut album titled "Take the Heat off Me." Its producer was Frank Farian, while Stefan Klinkhammer was responsible for the euro disco-style arrangement.
The hit song "Sunny" in a version by the legendary Boney M topped the German charts, while also reaching the top ten in many other European countries. The single was supported by the non-album track "New York City," which was a cover of Farian Gill's 1976 song. The song lived to see many remixes. Liz Mitchell was responsible for the lead vocals, but another Boney M member Miizie Williams also recorded her version of the song for her 2006 solo album.
