Music video description
Does anyone not know Budka Suflera? Does anyone not know this song? Today the song"Za ostatni grosz" is considered one of the group's timeless hits. It is already in the canon of Polish rock. Audiences during concerts - those older and younger always react vividly just to this song. It is hard to believe that it is already 38 years old. This is the song and also the title of the group's fifth studio album. The album became so famous that it lived to see as many as 7 official releases. It is also from it that the well-known hit"Don't ever believe a woman" comes from. And although today we associate Budka Suflera mainly with Krzysztof Cugowski - here Romuald Czystaw is responsible for the vocals. Engaging, intriguing, slightly sentimental and, above all, universal lyrics - about longing for the old days. Catchy and easy falling chorus. Pulsating guitar sound, slightly sobbing, melodic solo. Listen to how to make songs that the world never forgets.
"Za Ostatni Grosz" is a cult hit by the Lublin-based band Budka Suflera. The author of the lyrics is Marek Dutkiewicz. The song was released as a single in 1982 and comes from an album of the same title. The genesis of the hit song is interesting. Apparently, the Tonpress label, with which the band had a contract, pressed for the release of an album for the compositions, which were created during rehearsals before a concert in Leningrad. However, the lyrics were missing, so Romuald Lipko asked Marek Dutkiewicz to create them. The latter titled the song "For the Last Penny," which also provided the inspiration for the title and album cover of Budka Suflera. Interestingly - it was to this song that the group's first ever music video was created. It was featured on the Television Charts, which was somewhat reminiscent of the British "Top of the Pops" in its formula.
