"Let's Dance" is a song produced in 1962 by Jimma Lee for Chris Montez, an American singer and guitarist. Ten years later, the song was paired with "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" from the Shirelles ' repertoire and also released in Europe. The London Records label, however, decided to remove a portion of the included composition and replace it with the original B-side, the song "You're The One." The recording was popular in the UK and Germany, reaching the top five of the charts.
The British band Slade re-recorded the song in 1985 and put it on the album "Crackers - The Christmas Party Album." The recording did not find a place for itself on enough radio stations, so it did not reach the charts. The band Status Quo also recorded their cover and put it on their 1990 compilation album, a version that was a hit throughout Europe and went to number two on the UK singles chart.
