Da Funk is an instrumental track by the duo Daft Punk (they hail from Paris and make music on the borderline of the house genre, their hallmark being the tearing of faces behind masks) featured on their debut album Homework. It was originally released as a single in 1995 on the Soma Quality Recordings label and again in 1996 when the band signed with Virgin Records. Daft Punk 's video Da Funk and the song itself, directed by Spike Jonze, are considered a 1990s house music classic.
