Music video description
Daryl Hall & John Oates - Maneater is one of the more recognized singles released by this American duo. The single is from the 1982 album "H2O." It became No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on December 18, 1982 and remained at the top spot for four weeks, more than any of the duo's five singles. According to John Oates, the inspiration for the song came from English model and actress Kelly LeBrock. Hall & Oates' video begins with a scene in which a woman (Alexandra Duncan) walks down a red staircase and the band plays in a dimly lit studio with sheaves of light falling on them. It depicts a fame fatale, a woman who is free and unbridled which is nicely illustrated by the words of the chorus: "Whoa, oh here she comes; watch out boy, she'll chew you up; whoa, oh here she comes, she's a maneater."
