"People Are People" is the tenth Depeche Mode single released on March 12, 1984, it was the first single in the US, and the first single from the album "Some Great Reward." Depeche Mode - People Are People was written by Martin Gorea. Although the song was quite successful, Martin Gore considers it one of his least successful songs. He prefers when his songs have subtle meanings so that audiences interpret them themselves, and the song presented here does not fit into this canon.
