"I'm From the City" is a song written by Kuba Sienkiewicz in 1987, and released in 1992, on the debut album of his band Electric Guitars, titled "Great Joy." The song was supposedly inspired by a situation in Sienkiewicz's life, when a friend suggested that he return to nature and move out to the countryside. Kuba then decided that this was not for him and as a result wrote a song that became a big hit. Unfortunately, Kuba Sienkiewicz was not satisfied with the "disco" popularity of piosenki Elektryczne Gitary"I'm From the City," as he claimed that it has, yes, a lively and catchy melody, but it also has really serious lyrics. Besides, people began to identify with the chorus and resent the performer for (unintentionally) discriminating against people from the countryside.
