Music video description
The band Hot Butter is a musical group founded in New York in 1971 and headed by Stan Free. This band can be categorized as an instrumental group that creates mainly covers of other songs. Thus, for example, the song "Popcorn" presented in this post was originally composed and recorded in 1969 by Gershon Kingsley. When working on this song, Stan Free used a Moog synthesizer, which was modern for the time. Seven years after its founding, the group came to an end and left behind the song Hot Butter - Popcorn, which was one of the first big hits in the genre of electronic music created using synthesizers. The single sold more than 2 million copies worldwide, which was a huge success for the fledgling electronic music at the time.
