Music video description
Song of the Bar Confederates is a beautiful Polish song whose words were written by Juliusz Słowacki. This song is another piece of music that I would like to present to you on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Poland's regaining independence. There are voices that the song "Song of the Bar Confederates" should be our national anthem because it tells of love for the homeland, is a manifesto of Catholic faith and tells us that we should defend the homeland and who we are. For many people who were forced to leave our country after the November Uprising (for reasons of repression and persecution), the words of this song were reassuring and of special value. In general, there were many songs about the Bar Confederation, but this is probably the most popular of them. I am posting this song as performed by the great artist Jacek Kaczmarski, who performed it in a duet with Jacek Kowalski in 1995 at a concert called "Two Sarmations." The song itself comes from a drama entitled "Priest Mark" from 1984. The most popular song from this entire drama was the one I present to you here, I invite you to this song in a beautiful rendition of Jacek Kaczmarski - Song of the Bar Confederates.
