Music video description
Jan Hammer is a Czech musician living permanently in the United States. He was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia, in 1948 and from an early childhood showed considerable musical talent. He had someone to inherit this talent from because his mother was a famous singer, while his father played bass guitar, among other things. At the age of just 4, Jan Hammer started playing the piano and began taking professional lessons two years later. Initially, however, he did not want to tie himself professionally to music and planned to go into medicine. However, he was persuaded to use and develop his musical talent. He graduated from music college and in the late 1960s and early 1970s moved to the US where he decided to further his musical studies in Boston. Throughout his musical career he collaborated with many famous names from the world of music, on this occasion we should mention such legends as Carlos Santana, Mick Jagger from the band The Rolling Stones, Tommy Bolin that is a former member of the band Deep Purple or Steve Lukather from the band Toto. In this post, I would like to introduce you to one of the most recognizable hits of this artist and both a very well-known hit of film music, the musical theme from the series "Miami Police Officers" or Miami Vice. The song is titled Crockett's Theme and it is a reference to the name of the main character i.e. James "Sonny" Crockett. Do you remember this series yet? This is not the original video for this song but the work of one of the fans, but in my opinion very coolly done. Therefore, I warmly invite you to watch the Jan Hammer - Crockett's Theme video and remember this iconic series.
