Music video description
The Great Mass in B minor BWV 232 is considered by critics to be Johann Sebastian Bach's finest work of religious music. It is divided into four movements and the first is the Kyrie, which was composed in 1733. The work is supported by elaborate polyphonic choir parts. The choral parts, on the one hand, are dissected in the cantata form typical of Bach's oeuvre, and on the other, allude to the style of Palestrina's Roman school and even earlier.
