Kim Wilde - Cambodia is the fourth single by the British singer Kim Wilde, which was released in late 1981. It was a year in which Wilde had already released three very successful singles and one of her best-selling debut albums. The single was another huge success, topping the charts in France, Sweden and Switzerland and hitting the Top 10 in several other countries. It sold one million copies in France alone. Musically and lyrically, Cambodia showed a shift toward New Wave music. The lyrics, which tell the story of a wife whose husband disappears under mysterious circumstances on a flight to Cambodia, were inspired by the tragedies that occurred in South Vietnam.
