March, thanks to it, became the youngest artist whose single reached the top of the charts in the US. The song enjoyed international popularity, reaching the top of the charts in Australia, Israel, South Africa, Canada, New Zealand, Japan, Scandinavia and Uruguay. Peggy March with the song I Will Follow Him was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1964 in the Best Rock and Roll Recording category.
