Music video description

The hit song "Sugar Me" was written by Lynsey de Paul and Barry Green in 1972. The song became the artist's debut single, with Gordon Mills responsible for its production. The B-side featured the song "Storm in a Teacup," which Lynesy co-wrote. "Sugar Me" was a major commercial success reaching the top 20 of the charts in the UK, Australia, Germany, Austria, Denmark and even Japan. The song also reached number one on the HSA list in Bangkok, while it was also played very eagerly and frequently by international radio stations. The song was among the top five singles of 1972 selected by Cashbox.

It is also worth mentioning that the song was re-released as a single a few years later in 1977 along with "Won't Somebody Dance With Me," which had to do with Lynsey de Paul winning the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Rock Bottom."

The song "Sugar Me" lived to see many covers, among which it is worth mentioning the one from Nancy Siniatry, Claudine Longet, Dutch group Gigantjes or Gwen Stacy.
