Music video description
The song "Without You" is probably known to everyone, but not everyone knows the history of this song. Of course, those who look in regularly have already had the opportunity to read a bit of such information, but I will try once again to briefly describe the brief history of this hit. Let's move to 1970, when the band Badfinger writes one of their many songs and gives it the title "If It's Love". The song quickly evolves and its title is also changed to Without You. However, the song doesn't gain much popularity in their performance, and the following years bring them only quarrels related to the division of property rights to the song. The whole story ends rather tragically, as you will read about in my earlier post about exactly this version of the song Badfinger - Without You. A year later in 1971 his cover of the song "Without You" was recorded by American musician and singer Harry Nilsson. The song turned out to be his biggest hit, which reigned on the charts around the world, and for many, many years no one managed to repeat this success. One of the fans of the song Harry Nilsson - Without You was Mariah Carey and when she was a child she listened to it very often. And it was Nilsson's version and not the aforementioned Badfinger band. She decided to record her own version of the song and it is this song that I would like to present to you in this post. This single was released in 1994 and became this artist's biggest hit on the old continent. And which version do you like best? Mariah Carey - Without You? Or her 1971 Nilsson original?
