"Viens, Viens" is a song from the repertoire of French singer and actress Marie Laforet. The single was released in 1973, shortly after the artist resumed working with her record label. It became one of the greatest in the singer's oeuvre.
The artist's musical career began back in 1959, when she accidentally replaced her absent sister in a French singing competition. Her performance was rewarded with the opportunity to star in the film "In the Full Sun," accompanied by Alain Delon. The song "Viens, Viens" tells the story of the singer's childhood, in which her father abandoned her mother for another woman.
After the great commercial success of this hit song, Marie Laforet retired from her stage career, remarried and settled in Geneva.
