"Smells Like Teen Spirit" is a single by the rock band Nirvana. The single was released in 1991 and the song was included on the group's second album "Nevermind." The song and the album were extremely successful and reached the top of the charts in 1992. The song is often referred to as the "anthem of the apathetic children" of Generation X. A music video directed by Samuel Bayer was created for the song. The band wanted the video to have a punk vibe, so the school concert depicted in it ends with the destruction of the stage.
