"Don't Speak" is a song by American rock band No Doubt. The single with it was released in 1996 as the third third from their 1995 studio album Tragic Kingdom. The song is considered the beginning of singer Gwen Stefani's seven-year relationship with bassist Tony Kanal. Despite the song's popularity, "Don't Speak" did not make the Billboard Hot 100 chart, but managed to reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart for sixteen weeks. No Doubt - Don't Speak was nominated for a Grammy Award for Song of the Year and Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal in 1998.The song was ranked at number 495 on Blender magazine's list of "The 500 Greatest Songs Since You Were Born."
