Music video description
"Do Ya Wanna Fun" is a dance song released in 1982, recorded by American artists Sylvester and Patric Cowley. Cowley, who died unhappily the year the hit song was released, was responsible for its production. The song "Do Ya Wanna Fun" became a hit in Europe, with particular popularity in Switzerland, the Netherlands, Norway and the United Kingdom.
The song "Do Ya Wanna Fun" was inspired by the song "I'm Your Jeanie" from the repertoire of singer Jeanie Tracy. The song appears in a couple of iconic movies. It can be heard, for example, in the scene in which Billy Ray Valentine (Eddie Murphy) hosts the famous Trading Places party. It also appears in the 1989 drama AIDS Longtime Companion, a TV miniseries titled Further Tales of City, and the Oscar-winning documentary The Time of Harvery Milk.
