"Song To Say Goodbye" is the second single from the album "Meds" by British alternative rock band Placebo. It was released in 2006. The first single from the album was released only in the UK, so in all other places it is considered the first single from the album. The song deals with the problem of drug addiction, more specifically heroin addiction. A music video was created for it, directed by Philippe Andrew. It depicts an addicted father and his son, the originality of the vision lies in the reversal of their roles, it is the child who takes care of the father.
