"Happy People" is the debut single from Joseph Paquett, better known as Prince Ital Joe. An American singer of Dominican descent, he gained popularity mainly through his collaboration with Marky Mark, with whom he recorded two studio albums. The song is about the eponymous happy people, and the singer faces the question of where they are and where to see all those smiling faces and people content with their happy everyday life.
Prince Ital Joe is also known for his acting performances. He can be seen in the 1990 film "The Chosen One of Death" with Steven Seagal, as well as in the 1997 TV series "EZ Streets" and 1998's "The Players."
In 2001, he died in a car accident.
