Music video description
Today's post features a track by British group R.E.M. The song appeared on the 1991 album Out of Time. The song was originally intended to be the musical theme song for the hugely popular American TV series Friends, then still known by the working name Friends Like Us. However, it was eventually replaced by The Rembrandts' song I'll Be There for You. Eventually, the song was used in one of the episodes in the first season of the series. It is one of those songs that fits perfectly to start the morning because it is brimming with positive energy. The title freely translated means "Radiant, happy people." The song's lyrics exhort people to share smiles, kindness and love selflessly every day. Can you imagine a better number to start the day? Despite the rather great success the song has achieved, the band members were quite ambivalent about it considering it too pop-oriented. Feel free to watch the music video.
