"The Roof Is on Fire" is a song from the repertoire of Rock Master Scott and the Dynamic Three, which was released in 1984 as a single from the album Request Line. The group wrote it with their producer and manager Jerry Bloodrock. The song quickly achieved commercial success, reaching number five on the prestigious Billboard Hot Dance Music / Maxi-Singles Sales USA chart.
The song was also frequently used in a variety of live performances (including dance, rap and funk), and the sample is still popular today. It is worth mentioning here, for example, such a hit song as Hey Boy Hey Girl by the band The Chemical Brothers or the song "Fire Water Burn" by the band Bloodhound Gang or the hit of the same name by Westbam.
