"America "is a song written by Paul Simon that was popularized by folk-rock duo Simon & Garfunkel in 1960. The song was included on their album "Bookends," released on April 3, 1968. It is worth noting that the words of this song do not rhyme in any way. The song was released in 1971 as the B-side to "Keep The Customer Satisfied" in the US. Then as a single in 1972, concurrent with the Simon & Garfunkel duo's album "Greatest Hits" and eventually reached number 97 on the Billboard Hot 100.
