Suzanne Vega is an American folk and folk rock singer, composing and arranging the lyrics to her songs herself. In the 1980s she gained worldwide fame with, among other things, the song "Tom's Dinner." Few people know that an acapella version of this song was used in the development of the MP3 standard, as it is a difficult song to compress while maintaining sound quality.
