The Offspring - Why Don't You Get A Job?

When adding the song Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da performed by the band Marmalade in 1968, I mentioned that it is very similar to the song Why Don't You Get A Job, recorded almost 30 years later ? by the band The Offspring. After I dug deeper into the topic, it turned out that I wasn't the only one who saw the similarities. Therefore, I decided to add this music video to Muzoland as well. The group was founded in 1984 in the United States and still exists today. The music they make can be described as punk music and more generally as alternative rock. They have had some more and less successful hits and the song presented in this post is one of the band's biggest hits. The video for this song was filmed at the Universal Studios Hollywood film studio. On it you will see, among other things, the so-called "Colonial Street" known from many movies, used, for example, in the TV series Ready for Anything, or the courthouse/court square known from the blockbuster movie Back to the Future.
