"Angie" is a rock and roll song by The Rolling Stones, featured on their 1973 album "Goats Head Soup." Written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, it was recorded in November and December 1972. "Angie" is a ballad for acoustic guitar, telling the story of the end of a certain love. Contrary to popular belief, the song was not about David Bowie's first wife, Angie, or actress Angie Dickinson. Angie's name was taken from Richards' newborn daughter.
