Music video description
Toto is an American rock band formed in 1976 in Los Angeles. With a short break between 2008 and 2010, the group is still active today. However, the group had its greatest popularity and greatest hits in the first decade of its existence. It was in the 1980s that such hits as Rosanna and Africa were created. However, an equally big hit and both the group's first single was the song "Hold the Line," which was missing from our music collection. In this post we make up for this shortcoming, but before listening to this music video you may be interested in some interesting facts about it. The song "Hold the Line" was written by the band's keyboardist David Paich, he first created the initial piano riff that you can hear at the very beginning of the song. He played it to himself for several days and sang the first words of the refrain "Hold the line, love isn't always on time." The band members didn't expect such a big success and were initially shocked when they heard it on the radio that someone was interested in their work. Eventually, the song reached number 5 on the prestigious US Billboard Hot 100 chart. I invite you to watch Toto's music video - Hold the Line.
