Music video description
T'Pau is a British music group formed in 1986 and whose name refers to one of the characters in the film Star Trek. The band was mainly active until the early 1990s, when the paths of its members diverged due to diminishing success. Their greatest fame and success came with their first album, released in 1987, entitled "Bridge of Spies." In this post I would like to introduce you to their biggest hit "China In Your Hand". The song reached the top of the charts throughout Europe. The lyrics of the song refer to the book Frankenstein, which is much more noticeable in the original and longer album version of this song. The title of the song itself was also very puzzling to many people and the doubts were cleared up by singer Carol Decker herself a few years later on a TV show. The story of the title turned out to be very surprising well, for once when she was holding a cup of Chinese tea she sensed a lump under it. She lifted the mug under the light to see what it was and then she saw a picture of a young woman on the bottom. As proof, she showed that mug on this TV show.
