U2 video - The Unforgettable Fire is a song by rock band U2, from its 1984 album of the same name. It was released as the second single to promote that album. The song was inspired by an art exhibit about the victims of the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The song became another hit for the band in the UK, reaching the Top 10 (#6), as well as in the Netherlands (#8). "The Unforgettable Fire" was first performed live on September 2, 1984 in Auckland, during a concert on the Unforgettable Fire Tour. The song was played during almost all of the band's performances on that tour. The song was last performed live on January 6, 1990.
