Music video description

Van Halen is an American rock and metal band formed in 1972 In Pasadena, California. To date, the group has recorded 12 studio albums and 56 singles. However, among the hundreds of songs they have recorded, the undisputed leader is the song "Jump," which I would like to remind you of in today's post. This track took the top of the charts around the world by storm, including being number one on the prestigious US Billboard Hot 100 chart. By the way, it's worth mentioning here some interesting facts about this song. A line using a synthesizer was written as early as 1981 by Eddie Van Halen, one of the members of the band, but it did not appeal to the other members of the group and was not used in any song they created at the time. Two years later in 1983 Ted Templeman, a music producer, decided to return to this unused idea. It is also interesting to know where the inspiration for the lyrics of this song came from. Well, as the band itself admitted, one of its members David Lee Roth was inspired by an event he saw on the TV news. They were showing the suicide attempt of a man who wanted to jump from a height. Roth then thought to himself that among the many onlookers there was bound to be someone shouting "go ahead and jump" to the desperate man. However, officially the song is not about or encouraging suicide but about not being afraid of love and literally jumping into those feelings. The song "Jump" was a landmark in the band's career not only because of how much popularity it gained. It was also the beginning of a conflict within the band after which one of its members, David Lee Roth, left. Last but not least, it is worth mentioning that Eddie Van Helen modeled the song "Kiss on My List" zespołu Hall & Oates, when creating the main musical theme. As it later turned out, this band itself did not mind that this happened. Feel free to check out Van Halen's music video - Jump.
