Today departed from our Piotr Szczepanik, a great artist, singer, guitarist and actor. His death was announced to the media by the artist's daughter Jagoda Maria Szczepanik.
It is with deep regret that we announce that on August 20 - after many years of struggling with illness - my dad Piotr Szczepanik passed away in his sleep.
There are probably no lovers of old Polish hits who don't know such hits as Chasing Kormorany, Żółte Kalendarze, Never Again or one of the most beautiful ballads telling the story of love entitled Kochać.
Mr. Piotr Szczepanik was born in 1942 in Lublin and began his artistic activity there. During his studies at the Catholic University of Lublin, he performed in the cabaret "Czart" and in the Medical Academy theater "Dren 59". In 1963 he made his stage debut at the Student Song Festival in Cracow.
The singer greatly valued his privacy, and shied away from talking about his private life, family or the illness he struggled with for several years. Today he has some great songs left, mostly from the sung poetry genre, if you feel like getting acquainted with Piotr Szczepanik's hits you will find some of his greatest hits in our collection.
